UNITED TANSANIA offers wildlife and conservation enthusiasts a unique experience while joining the day-to-day work of field team contributing to our hyena program. With your meaningful input you help communities to live in harmony with their wildlife in close proximity of Ngorongoro Conservation area, Serengeti and Tarangire National Park.For sure it will be a once in a lifetime experience.
Our Hyena Bush Camp is located at the eastern part of Lake Eyasi that offers a wildlife corridor used by wildlife species migrating from Ngorongoro to Manyara region. Lake Eyasi is habitat of the near threatened striped hyena and common spotted hyena. For more about our camp site see
You will be accommodated in a Safari tent sharing with other wildlife- and bush -enthusiastics. The tent offers all amenities such as bed, wardrobe table etc. with a washroom unit in the back of the tent. The camp offers an open air shower under the African sky to cool down after a long day of tracking for hyena, setting cameras or other activities at the camp. The Bush-Camp is equipped with an open kitchen on which you get served 3 meals a day, a solar system and satellite internet. We do also organize weekend activities such as Safari-Trips as you wish to see the major National Parks of Tanzania, like Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater, Lake Natron or Lake Manyara National Park.

To join the project you need to be a minimum of 18 years old, and basic english is required.
Please be aware we are in a rural area, with high and sometimes humid temperatures

This is for people who would like to be regularly updated on the projects progress, understand more about project desicion making and design and pass on their knowledge or give advice.
The fee for becoming a member is 50 Euro per year.

- Rabies vaccination before you come (3 doses given over a duration of 28 days)
