2. Data Collected

In connection with the Charity Safari Auction, we may process the following personal data of bidders and participants:

⦁ Contact details (email, phone number, address)
⦁ Payment information (processed via Stripe)
⦁ Passport details (where required for National Park permits)
⦁ Travel-related information necessary to organize the safari

3. Purpose and Legal Basis

Personal data is processed for the purpose of:
⦁ Conducting the auction
⦁ Processing payments
⦁ Organizing and fulfilling the safari (including park permits and accommodation bookings)
⦁ Communicating with participants
The legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and, where applicable, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests).

4. Third-Party Processing

Bidder registration is processed via the Givery platform.
Payment processing is carried out by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd.
For the purpose of organizing the safari, relevant data may be shared with cooperating lodges, service providers, and authorities in Tanzania.

5. International Data Transfers

Where necessary for safari organization, personal data may be transferred to partners in Tanzania. Such transfers are limited to what is strictly required for the fulfillment of the travel arrangement.

6. Data Retention

Personal data will be retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above and to comply with statutory retention obligations.

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object to processing, and request data portability.
